Myrtle became chief cook for the crew project, later they had a dray or delivery business in Val Marie delivering coal, flour (100 pound bags) and all rail freight. He quit school at a young age and became a PFRA rider, later drove a cat for the PFRA Irrigation Division in 1945 breaking land on the West Flat for irrigating hay land. He married Myrtle Magee in the Val Marie Community Hall on July 21, 1947. He attended school in Hillandale and later in the Val Marie School. Clayton was born in Val Marie, SK on April 22, 1928. His brother-in-laws Gordon, Archie, Billy, Cecil and Simone Magee. Clayton was predeceased by his grandparents, father Homer and mother Claudia, oldest son Douglas and most of all, his loving friend and wife of 52 years, Myrtle. His sister, Joyce & Don Harbor and sisters-in-law Dorothy & Iris Magee and His son Homer Clement, son Blaine, Angela, Curtise & Whitney. Daughter Linda & Keith Wilson Dexter, Cherie, Bailey, Brandon & Boe Wilson, Lexie, Coady & Davin Dehr daughter-in-law Jane, Tim & Raylee McCrea, Heidi & Curtis, Kyle, Colton, Keegan & Hanna Goffinet, Stacey, Robin and Gracie McCrea, Heather, Kelly & Alyssa. Clayton is survived by his daughter Betty & Mike Waldner, Vicki, Dale, Colt & Samantha Belisle, Rick & Deanna, Alex, Ashlee & Jaxson Waldner. Duets were shared by Kathy Grant and James Harbor. Interment was held at the Va1 Marie Cemetery. The Memorial service was held on Saturday, Octoin the Val Marie Community Hall at 2:00 PM with Reverend Shelby Kinrade officiating.
